This self portrait is at once a celebration and a lament to motherhood. It is a painting that explores creation and growth alongside loss, examining my own experiences of motherhood while simultaneously using my image as a vehicle to explore and embody ideas of Mother Nature, the Mother-Creator-God of all beings.
